I would like to hear from literacy coaches in elementary schools, particularly in K-2. I am trying to get this started in my district and would like to know how effective you feel you are, in regards to student learning, teacher support, etc. What training did you receive? What are some problems you've encountered? I teach in a suburban area in a relatively high achieving district, where I think, it is felt that there is not need for a coaching staff. Love to hear from others so it can help me prove my point.
